How to Get Rien in Legacy Piece: A Comprehensive Guide

Unlocking the Rien Power

Rien is a formidable ability introduced in the Legacy Piece Wild Hunt update, inspired by the Index Nursefather from Limbus Company. Unlike standard fighting styles, this power offers a unique playstyle where each move utilizes a different weapon. To unlock it, players must engage with the game's Index faction system.

Before starting, ensure you have access to Grave Island, as all quest-related progression involving the Index starts here. Be prepared for a significant grind, as the process requires high-level boss encounters and specific contract completions.

Index Requirements and Leveling

Your journey begins by talking to the Index Messenger NPC on Grave Island. Before you can work toward Rien, you must first establish your standing with the faction. The initial requirements include:

• Defeat 25 Hard+ bosses: These must be Level 20,000 or higher.
• Contract Completion: You must successfully clear 5 Mythic contracts and 5 Legendary contracts.

Once this is complete, you will gain the Index Device and the rank of PROSELYTE. To reach the required rank of PROXY (Index Level 3), you must consistently take and complete missions assigned through your Index Device. As you rank up, you gain valuable passive buffs to your damage and health, which will assist you in the later, more difficult stages of the quest.

Restoring the Oracle Device

After achieving the PROXY rank, return to the Index NPC to begin the restoration quest. You will need to gather three specific components:

• Alloy: Has a 0.9% drop rate from Level 20,000+ bosses at Extreme difficulty. There is a pity system in place at 50 kills.
• Ink: Obtainable from Level 20,000+ bosses at Extreme difficulty; you must complete the fight without dying.
• Core: Requires clearing 5 dungeons or 20 Tower Floors.

Following the acquisition of these parts, you must complete nine "Prescripts." These are short, time-sensitive tasks. According to community reports, staying calm and prioritizing the specific conditions (such as using a certain skill or keeping a boss stunned) is vital to finishing these within the allotted time.

Defeating the Rien Boss

With the Oracle Device restored and the Prescripts finished, you gain access to the House of Spiders dungeon. Here, you must face the Rien boss in a one-wave battle.

Warning

The Rien boss possesses over 1 billion HP even on Easy mode. Ensure your gear and stats are optimized before entering the dungeon.

After defeating the boss, the final stage of the grind begins. To fully unlock the ability, you must collect 10 of every Nursefather weapon (including the Whip, Scythe, Hatchet, Bastard Sword, Rapier, Lance, Stiletto, Greatsword, and Hammer) and obtain the "Index Father" title. This often requires multiple runs of the dungeon. Once these items are in your inventory, return to the NPC to claim your inheritance and unlock the power.
